When you think of cleansers, an oil cleanser or a foam cleanser/gel cleanser immediately comes to mind. Rarely do we think of powder cleansers, right?! For me, the KITAO Matcha & Chia Enzyme Powder is my first-ever enzyme powder cleanser and this first-time experience has definitely taught me a thing or two about powder cleansers. Since the world of skincare is forever evolving, let’s find out more about powder cleansers. How powerful and effective are powder cleansers? Let’s find out more about powder cleansers in this KITAO Matcha & Chia Enzyme Powder Review.
What are powder cleansers?
Powder cleansers are quite different from our regular oil, foam, or gel cleansers. They are cleansers but in the form of a powder. Most importantly, powder cleansers are free from preservatives and alcohol, thus making them a great option for sensitive skin. Based on each brand, powder cleansers can have brightening, hydrating, soothing, and exfoliating properties. They also actually are as effective as foam or gel cleansers.
Perks of powder cleansers:
- Travel-friendly – Since it is not liquid, you won’t have to worry about this being confiscated during the airport security check. Also, since these are very slim and thin, you can carry them anywhere.
- Gentle exfoliating cleanser – Since powder cleansers are free of preservatives and alcohol, they are a gentle wash
- Longevity – Since they are free of preservatives, these can last a very long time.

My Thoughts
Having never tried powder cleanser before, the KITAO Matcha & Chia Enzyme Powder Cleanser has definitely educated me about powder cleansers. As this was my first experience with powder cleansers, I did not know what to expect.
Upon opening the sachet, the light green powder feels like soft talcum powder on the palms. To my utter surprise, this lathered up beautifully into a dense, fluffy, luscious foam. I wasn’t expecting this kind of good foam that too from a powder cleanser. The foam feels soft and fluffy and there is the faintest hint of matcha scent. This feels like a very gentle cleanser as when rinsing it off, my skin did not experience any dryness or tightness.
Immediate results noticed was how buttery supple my skin felt. Along with my skin feeling soft, refreshed and clean, it also looked bright. I am pleasantly pleased with this powder cleanser.
Conclusion
KITAO Matcha & Chia Enzyme Powder Cleanser has opened my gateway for powder cleansers. Apart from being an innovative product, the perks of a powder cleanser are too many. No wonder powder cleansers have been grabbing all the spotlight. I am glad that the KITAO Matcha & Chia Enzyme Powder Cleanser was a phenomenal gentle cleanser and because of my good experience with this cleanser, I have begun to have a deep, new profound admiration for powder cleansers. I am fully convinced that powder cleansers work as effectively, if not more, as foam/gel cleansers.
