Are you a team gel-cleanser or team foam-cleanser person? I gravitate more towards foam cleansers, cause let’s admit, who doesn’t enjoy soft, fluffy foams. I cannot remember the last time I used a gel-cleanser. Having said that, there is a huge majority of people who simply enjoy the Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser. The good reviews surrounding the cleanser definitely had my interest piqued. So, will this cleanser make me fall into the team gel-cleanser? Let’s read along the Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser Review to find out more.
What is in this?
A low pH cleanser that is gentle but highly effective in removing away dirt and grime. Contains hydrating & conditioning properties (natural coconut oil derivative) and hence it does not feel like it is stripping the skin dry.
Notable ingredients:
- 3 types of Hyaluronic acid
- Centella Asiatica Extract (anti-inflammatory, soothing & calming)
- A bunch of amino acids (maintains healthy skin, skin-firming, reduces signs of aging)
- Citric Acid (AHA, gentle exfoliant)
My Thoughts
I have always been a foam cleanser person, probably cause I have been using my HG foam cleanser for years and I love fluffy foams. The Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser, on the other hand, is a gel based cleanser. This comes in a 175ml frosted pump bottle with a 12 months shelf life. The gel-like viscosity of the cleanser is quite moderately thin in consistency and one full pump is enough for me. This does not foam into dense fluffy foams like my foam cleanser but this lathers up pretty well into thinner foams. I could hardly get any scent from this cleanser.
While washing this with lukewarm water, it washes off well without leaving any film behind. Sometimes cleansers with moisturizing/conditioning properties can leave behind a residual film after washing but the Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser left behind no residual film. There was absolutely no skin drying or tightening felt after wash. My skin felt clean and nicely moisturized.
Also, what is interesting is that the Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser has absolutely no warning flags in the CosDNA database. No wonder this is claimed to be a gentle cleanser.
Final Thoughts
The Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser feels like a very gentle and hydrating cleanser. Does not foam much like foam cleansers but rather foams up into a thinner consistency. It does not dry out my skin and no skin tightness experienced after wash. While I do enjoy this cleanser, I cannot help but crave for my foam cleansers every now and then.
Having said that, the Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser has definitely broken my myth on gel cleansers.
