What’s it all about?

Claims: Powerful acne-fighting and pore-clearing effects, along with sebum control and deep cleansing. Good for calming newly generated acne spots.Ā 

Formulated with Canadian Glacial Clay and Oatmeal, this clay mask promises to deliver the 3Cs of pore care – Clear, Contract, Care.

Besides Canadian Glacial Clay and Oatmeal, other notable ingredients are:

  • Kaolin & Bentonite (Sebum/waste removal, pore contraction)
  • Allantoin (sensitivity reduction, dead skin cell control)
  • Portulaca Oleracea Extract (antioxidant, calming, hydration)

How to use?

  • Apply all over the face avoiding the eye area after cleansing. Rinse with warm water after 10-15 minutes.
  • For more special care, use the mask partially over sudden breakouts/acne to calm down the acne spots.
  • Can also be used for the body, especially on acne-prone areas like chest. Recommended to be used after a warm shower when the pores are open

My Thoughts

A soft mud-like clay mask that also contains oatmeal for a gentle scrub. Formulated with š š„šššœš¢ššš„ šœš„ššš² from Canada, this clay mask helps in cleaning the pores while also cooling down the skin.

The soft consistency of this mask facilitates an easy even application. The brand has mentioned that initially, one may feel a slight tingling, sharp pain like sensation, when the clay mask activates its natural pore cleansing effect. And boy oh boy, the first few seconds are quite intense. More than a tingling sensation, it felt like a burning sensation. Not to worry as this lasts only for a few seconds after which the mask feels cool.Ā 

I usually leave the mask for around 10 minutes before doing a gentle massage and wash-off. The addition of oat granules in this clay mask serves as a gentle exfoliant. The mask has a cooling sensation when washing off.

The mask dries down without any cracks and it feels very smooth. Washes off well without stripping the skin’s moisture. No redness or irritation or drying of the skin noticed. My skin felt a lot cooler, refreshed, and clean.

One of the claims of this mask is that it can effectively calm down active acne/breakouts. And true to its claims, it works wonders in calming down acne. I love using this mask over active acne or on headless acne. The clay mask not only helps in calming down the area but it also helps acne with no opening to surface up well. This has been my go-to mask for acne care.

Having been an ardent fan of clay masks, this Glacial Clay mask has completely upped my views on clay masks. Yes, this mask helps in pore tightening and deep cleansing. But the feature I am most excited about is how effectively this can take care of active acnes.
